Sunrise and Sunset

without comments

Not a little boy anymore, I hurried up before it was even 7, I guess Erta wasn’t expecting us to hear her max-vol radio-alarm (B97!). Getting outdoor wasn’t much of a hassel – no chill, no wind, juz patches of warmth as the sun just rose and the heat is not aligned with the Earth just yet.

We took a little delay before the journey, during the journey, but we made it- Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza. 15th floor lobby and 16th floor room with swimming pool (which I will never use) and the fitness center (hmmm… good start for the week?)

Just sitting around watching the sun set in front of us 16th storey above ground-level, and waiting for the call for the anticipated-not-too-formal (even though brought dresses liao) French cuisine.

Hancock tower to close off the night and then craming half-a-dozen lads and mates into the 2-queen-bed room.

swoosh.

Have you seen it?

Da Vinci Code?

Yes, it’s a great movie. I will probably consider giving Hanks the Oscar Nomination, just because he is Tom Hanks. But I wasn’t much interested in the story until Ian McKellen (as Sir Leigh Teabing) limping into the scene. It finally turned investigation into an adventure, an exploration.

X-Men: The Last Stand?

Yes, it’s a 1 1/2 with the climax at the end of the credit (yes, after ten minutes of symphony and text readings) – X-Men is not over, its just the beginning (darn… when will it ever de-mutinitize?!)…

Both are B-rated movie in the blogger’s opinion – worth catching it, or just sit your ass and wait for the DVDs.

Romance, no Romance

with one comment

A-Kai’s somewhat Rubbish.
I found this site that has quotes Things People Said and it reminded me of poetry, especially one by the poet by the river bank in Paris. It’s a screenplay in the scene of Before Sunset. You can listen to it, it might add a little neon-light to it. I like little smoochies. They touch they go, quite light but feels good and sweet. This series of movies (Before Sunrise/set) is somewhat a smooch.

The ugly side- the side that Darth Vader will stand on, would be a tri-relationship. Wah lao eh, this one, abit 2much.

Ah-Kai’s Life.
Just got done with the exam, Matt (the instructor) was working on the MacBook while we were going at it (the simple-but-not-quite-simple-enough-for-someone-who-start-studying-at-2am exam). I really wanna get a new laptop, let it be a Mac (muahahah) or a Windows (…) and start playing WOW or Guild War or something.

Going to Tokyo? Try spending less than S$1K? Follow this guy, maybe. eh… so S$1K = US how many Ks?

By the way this is a really late thank-you note for Sunario (and Meyer) who is kinda enough to take me in for the Summer.

By the way #2, this is a kinda a late pai-seh note for Sunario (and maybe Meyer) because I kinda rubbished Sunario’s room with bags, clothes and other stuffs and have yet to clean them up. But I will.

Hey, by the way ah (this is not #3, cuz its a different subject), do you guys still update your Friendster profile anymore? It’s like, not matter what you do, it still seems super duper ugly or chicky. I want a more manly profile with muscle pictures as the background and some diet pill ads as the video and all the fonts should be in bold!

Man in suit, always nice. Find Kai. what’s the name of the book-game that asks you to find the guy with strip sweater and a red hat -it’s a sucker man. Next level coming up.

Before Sunset

He probably missed the plane. He probably doesn’t care. They are probably in love, still. The movie doesn’t feel long, it doesn’t have climax, no kissing- just one precious hug. But it fulfill the minds of the people waiting for the sequel.

Indonesian Jazz

without comments

Not Kenny G, its Glenn Fredly’s Tega. Piano and saxophone and its Indonesian (no, I’m not Indo).

Following a series of thunderstorm and sun, and thunderstorm and sun, God finally decided to award us with plenty of sun and more than a patch of blue sky, and yes, those evilish dark clouds are gone.

Simplicity, when geniune can be appraised priceless by MasterCard. I’m glad I have friend of such attribute and caliber. Congratulation to him for geetting into Wisconsin – he deserve it as much as Steve Job as CEO of Apple. Hardwork and anticipation, my friend, does pay off.

Morale are still falling in the A-llen camp, no, I don’t think its the rain or the solitary of the 20-person troop. Mind tricks, I trick myself into believing I’m this great guy and when that fantasy falls (not even as witted as Tom Farrell), it really kills me.

I called Suhendra this morning complaining about how I wish I had not skipped the two (or three) day of class. I told him I feel bad that I’m not always there for my Mum and Dad (both are not in Singapore right now; Mum’s on the way to Phuket). I also told him that I not only miss my dorm but my roomate, Rahul, who’s always there laying in bed with a computer on his lap. We don’t really talk too deep of a conversation, but you see he’s always there, whether its a good sunny day or a lousy rainy afternoon and even though he would curse at times, his postive companion is pretty fulfiling/satisfying.

Friends comes and goes, best wishes and best of luck.
Always dude. Always.

Kaulah Yang Ada Di Hatiku

without comments

Maliq & D’Essentials

Ketika kurasakan sudah
Ada ruang di hatiku yang kau sentuh
Dan ketika kusadari sudah
Tak selalu indah cinta yang ada

Mungkin memang ku yang harus mengerti
Bila ku bukan yang ingin kau miliki

Salahkah ku bila
Kaulah yang ada di hatiku

Adakah ku singgah di hatimu
Mungkinkah kau rindukan adaku
Adakah ku sedikit di hatimu
Bilakah ku mengganggu harimu
Mungkin kau tak inginkan adaku
Akankah ku sedikit di hatimu

Bila memang ku yang harus mengerti
Mengapa cintamu tak dapat kumiliki

Kau yang ada di hatiku

Bila cinta kita tak ‘kan tercipta
Ku hanya sekedar ingin ‘tuk mengerti

Adakah diriku oh singgah di hatimu
Dan bilakah kau tahu
Kaulah yang ada di hatiku

Adakah ku di hatimu

很想告诉你
我很喜欢你”

Is there a better time to do something that you want to? Or is it destined that you should do it now and that’s the furthest you can go?

Discarding Noise

without comments

The car doesn’t honk too much here, unless you are drunk or you are missing your lecture with that blonde cutie sitting next to you.

The air is never really polluted with any sound level higher than 100 dB. We do get a couple helicopter rotor over our heads from time to time as CNN try to capture some corn-harvesting situation this year to see if America will make it through 2006.

Concerts are well contained; nothing the sort of Bumbershoot in Seattle, which I truly appreciate being a Seattlite.

Thought ended.

Back2 Love Monkey

without comments

Love Monkey.

Some crap (probably because I don’t quite comprehend the sophicated descriptives and verbs and nouns), some classic (probably because for once or twice, or thrice, we are more or less looking at a perspective or experience that we might share. Me and Tom Farrel.

This is somewhat a classic – the final touch of a relationship, for better or worse. If you have the book, turn to page 58-59, and here we go:

“”Hey,” she said.
“What?”
“Nothin’.”
“Oh.”
A minute passed expectantly.
“Hey,” she said.
“What?”
“Nothin’.”
Uh oh. Paging Mr. Sandman. Carry me away.
“Hey,” she said.
“Yeah?”
Pause.
“I love you,” she said.”

Okay, if you are Mr. Nice Guy, just like my good friend the 2Sus, you will probably wrap you hands around her shoulder and pull her close to you, all so gently, and mark it off with a kiss and a few dozen of endulging stares.

Well, I hope that’s for most guys. But for the rest, when the second “Hey,” comes, you are probably thinking of using some execuse to get out of the situation with clothes on; let it be stomache, parents came, or wedding in the making.

This is therefore called a “classic” conversation.

Taking away that Sugar-Coat (Google Version)

Words are sugar-coated for better result or a worse consequence.

It happens in your daily life in the case of hypocrites, as well as the Corporate America, just like our dear Enron. Google was asked on several occasion to give out its Search Engine data by the Federal Government. They refuse, and here’s the by-product of the tension.

“With Google Trends, you can compare the world’s interest in your favorite topics. Enter up to five topics and see how often they’ve been searched for on Google over time.”

After looking up World Cup, since its the next big event after E3, I was surprised but not surprised by the ranking which list Singapore as the 9th nation in the Top 10 region that looks up “World Cup”. Afterall, Asia can probably gain more marketing profit during the World Cup than the whole Germany combine. Maybe.

Our Daily Bread #1

“A man’s life should never be written while he is living. What is important is how a man ends, not how he begins.”

For those of you who have watched Last Holiday, prehaps just yesterday, should be familiar with a phrase like this – it’s not how you start, but how you finish.

Run and lead a life that will crown you not for the prize of that race, but the prize of life.

Turning rainbow into words; turning sunshine into words; turning happiness into words. And finally, turning words into every image and every piece of bubble.

Quote of the day:
“People want to wrap lessons around things and tie them with ribbons of hope.”

Myth of lessons of failure that structure your life of success. Beautiful stories of hope bringing Life back from the brink of Death.

Part of life.

Lapse

without comments

Just like homework procrastination. You put it off for tomorrow, you will only finish it tomorrow. For several days in a row I wasn’t in a friendly contact with a internet-oriented technology, henceforth, no blogging.

News thus far: the Indonesian Graduates’ semester-long hard work paid off with a awesomely grand and fabulously touching graduation dinner for the fans and the parents. We have Aaron Kwok, Superman, Power Ranger, William Hung and of course the pretty Princesses and the macho Princes at the scene.

Many have depart and many more will be departing for their be inloved hometowns for the Summer (16weeks) or at least Summer 2 (8weeks). The town is moving very slowly as the atmosphere of Fall’s solitarity sets in rather than the merry-merry summer.

Poetry are for people who literaturizes. Well, I wrote it for that very moment.

As we drove by the landscape under the sun where the moon sets:
The spring sunshine and rainfall drove away the thorns of the winter and filled the land with hills of leaves.

As the graduates sang “…” dedicating to their parents while the projector played their path from 0 to graduate:
“Wind beneath the wings” are a praise for the best sweetest and loveliest. The end is always another begining. But along each and at every beginning, believe that they – the wind will be there for you, always.

When a couple starts souring:
His lack of confidence is fueled by the uncertainty and the fear of another’s maybe or can bes. But, isn’t that all part of what makes love the more geninuine?

I wrote them and italicized them – hope you like ‘em. M’kay. (you can quote me… and I mean quote, me.)

Oh, by the way, in case you missed it – Sony Playstation is out with a hit @ $499 a piece. I kinda feel its gonan hurt, my wallet or Sony’s market. Nintendo have something coming up as well. Watch out you gamers.

Now leaving you for Hoodwinked. Yes, cartoon over you.

Another all nighter, just a change of venue to the library.
Quite certain that I wasn’t fulfilling my duty by playing games.
By the way I’m really excited about moving in with Yopi2 and Aswin in fall, but I haven’t got a mattres yet.
