Day in Day out.

Four weeks into summer, you better have done something.
(That’s not even correct grammar I don’t think.)
Well, I did 4 weeks of school, watched #3 from Shrek and PoC, bought a Wii, went to Chicago for a day and back, had a couple of BBQ, did some fishing (and cooking), gamed like I’d never gamed before (with Gamecube/DS/Xbox360/PS2/Wii), bought and still learning guitar, cooked a lot. I think that’s about it.
In the coming weeks before heading to Seattle, a wedding, more Wii thanks to Joseph’s Zelda, 2 more bible studies with Timothy, getting haircut, getting Pipi a health cert for flying, maybe build a table or something (see a need, fill a need mentality), pray for wisdom over stuff, maybe/hopefully more.
I didn’t really learned extensively in terms of programming or did much work on web design as I had hoped to, but looking at the list, its not too bad.
Guitar learning has been fun but I’m having some problem with harmony-chord, now I see why people practices. I really hope to get better and maybe play some flowing melody.
Exercise is not exactly overrated, but certainly could have been. I will never understand people who can mug themselves in the ‘pool’ all day long. I would almost always opt for Wii Sports giving a range of stretching exercise.
The melons has never been cheaper (at least not for me), for $5 a piece, I could enjoy a 20 odd lbs of watermelon for days – awesome for after-nap snacks.
New Age of Gaming

In less than a month, I have turned from the-guy-who-left-his-PS2-in Seattle to a somewhat-true Nintendo fan.
You see, Windwaker, I bought the Gamecube a couple of month ago (for just $50 with controllers and games).
Then for the flight back to Seattle, I bought the DS Lite for a mere $100 (through jellyfish’s smack deal).
And after waiting since Novemeber, I finalyl got my hands on the Wii (thanks to Joseph’s tipping).
And I already had the Gameboy Advance (not advance anymore for real).
Now, should I BUY the games or should I rent it through GameFly?
For $8.95 first month and $21.95 the following, I get 2 games a month.
So to get a crack at Wii, I can pay $8.95 till I leave for Seattle and have 2 games in hand (maybe one for the DS?)
And since both Wii and DS is coming with me to Seattle (for 2 month = $43.90), it might just be more worth it to do that than owning 2 Wii games and prehaps 1 DS (probably totaling close to a hundred).
Awesome.
More to do…
and more to learn.
Periods comes and goes, I just hope that I act rationally, or else learn to.
Really looking forward to Seattle one way or another.
I hope to pick up where I left off last year with God.
And having my cat with my host-family would be a wonderful thing to share too.

Summer Thus Far

Summer isn’t yet way out or way in, but it has been awhile since the weather was still at its sub-zeros.
My final grades for Spring aren’t the best or the worst, I’m kinda glad I got what I got considering the lack of effort in the final weeks.
Summer classes has been rather relaxing, I did a good quiz, but I’m sure my Wall Street Journal report was junkie – would do better next time around.
Working in an old environment with a renewed role is strange and sometimes uneasy, inclusive of all the complications that I would have loved to avoid. No, drama, not even in summer, when there’s plenty of time to go around.
Learning from an old (not that old, but kinda) friend about myself, can be bitter sweet. More bitter than sweet.
I think I had always wanted to be a good person. But it seems that its way more and way beyond patience and smiles.
Learning to truly and sincerely care for others beyond smiles can sometimes be an art.
Thanks for Spidey 3 for backing me up on that one. Others has criticized about its length, the development of the storyline. I think its fine, just fine, a little more would have been excessive. I especially appreciate the emotional development between Mary-Jane (reminds me about a Singaporean girl I met at Urbana 06, called Sarah-Jane) and Peter Parker. It’s more or less close to what I have been told. He loves her, yet the love wasn’t extensive. It seems to be bouncing around Peter. Same thing applies for caring for others. I guess.
The summer spiral hits in once more, I feel somewhat depressed at not working and the incapabilities to do more. The only uplifting times are exercise, Borders, church and maybe DDR (yes, I’m using it as a jumping-miller for diet purpose).
Love is in the air. Yet there’s always the Summer Two to put things back sense back into us.
God is still the coolest dude. He just kept throwing surprises at us. We may want to see it as coincidences – but its undeniably not.
It’s 2:38a.m – time for bed. I have been dreaming a lot lately. I think its a good thing?
