Day 56: Looking forward to BBQ

without comments

Sizzling BBQ
I spent always 4~5 hours in school trying to do research, most of it was done in fact at Copper Cup. Not very time efficient. Anyways, the whole day, I was kind of looking forward to the BBQ – and it turned out pretty good. :)

Makes me happy – looking all the neatly arranged rectangles.

In today’s human-computer interaction, interface design no longer only concern with its usability but, also its users’ experiences and branding. Think of Apple for example, the product’s interface design is indeed fairly user-friendly – anyone can pick up an iPod and figure out the controls intuitively. But more than that, is the whole experience that Apple gives its user when an Apple product is purchase. These includes the customer service, the user community and also the perception on the brand. Very interesting.

While I haven’t explored all the nitty gritty of the new design, it certainly present a more positive ‘ambiance’ for the visitors, and with the Java script reduced/removed (not entirely sure), the site has less change of error out with broken links and such. I will hopefully have time to do a little interface design review on this later on. :)
